Steinert Tree Care was founded in 2014 by Berkshire natives, Will and Leif Steinert. The company remains a small, sustainable family operation. Leaning on age-old rigging techniques, cutting-edge innovation, and specialized equipment for lawns the Steinert boys take pride in little-to-no noise, lightening speed efficiency, and tree removal that leaves no trace! When all else fails, Will is highly skilled and has many years of experience climbing! No tree is a match for STC!
STC was created following the retirement of Wills mentor. Will had grown to love tree work throughout his time with an established tree business for years. He has built a team that is not only reliable, but extremely dedicated.
Services
Tree Removal
This is the umbrella category for different types of tree removal. Removals can include tree felling (cutting standing trees into optimally sized sections for easy cleanup), storm damage removal (standing, broken, or pieces of trees removed that pose a threat or landed on your property due to weather), dead or dying tree maintenance (assessment of tree health during quotes on longevity of trees as well identifying potential hazards/ defects to maintain the health of tree and surrounding landscape). SAFETY IS OUR #1!
Tree Pruning
Most tree pruning completed by STC is identifying dead and dying branches, and reinforcing the structure of the crowns of tree canopies. Clearance pruning around buildings, driveways, patios, pools, waterfronts, and gardens.
Wood Removal
Wood removal is an additional service that STC provides if you do not wish to keep any of the tree. Limbs/ trunk wood (>21"), brush, and trimmings are chipped and hauled away as included in the removal price. Our company EXCELS at removal as it optimizes the life of the wood that is too large to chip, being used not only as food for the chipper, but given a second life as reclaimed wood to mill, or utilized for firewood. If you wish to keep burnable wood from your property we can neatly leave wood for your own projects upon request. We can also leave wood chips upon request, although removal of wood chips is not a fee.
Tree Cabling/ Bracing
"Tree cabling and bracing are proactive, professional arboricultural techniques used to structurally support weak, codominant, or V-crotch branches and stems, reducing the risk of failure during high winds, heavy snow, or ice. Cabling installs flexible steel or synthetic cables high in the canopy to limit movement, while bracing uses rigid steel rods directly through split branches for stability." -ISA
Our Equipment
Using specialized equipment for turf and lawns STC takes great pride in leaving your property looking untouched. Heavy machinery is great in certain scenarios, but in tree removal we believe it is best to be kind to the ground the trees are growing above.
Easy Lift
Bucket truck? The Easy Lift is ultra maneuverable on your landscaped properties and lighter on your lawn than other traditional elevation aids. It has 47' horizontal reach and 87' vertical of reach. It is very helpful for those hard to reach limbs or too dangerous to climb trees all while keeping us speedy and SAFE on the job.
Avant
No need for damaging, heavy tracked machinery to quickly and efficiently remove wood and debris from your property.
Giant
Similar to the Avant, the Giant has a huge capacity for moving tree material from small brush, to heavy log lengths. It's in the name.
Chipper + Cone Splitter
Don't want the wood? Our meticulously maintained chipper will compact the debris from your removal and we'll haul it away. The cone splitter is Wills favorite secret weapon, no log is too big because we can split it into as many pieces as necessary!

Owner/ Operator
Wilhelm Steinert
Will is not only the owner, but the primary purveyor and operator of all jobs for STC. He feels that every job requires the utmost attention. With over 10 years experience as the owner, Will has been in the industry of arboriculture for over 15 years total. He fell in love with the industry working for his mentor Keith Hyatt, of Hyatt Tree Company. Following Hyatt's retirement Will decided to continue his career with trees on his own terms and with his newly grown expectation for excellence. Prior landscaping experience as well comes into play with his eye for yard design. Tree removal is an art that Will has honed over time. His keen sense and brain for puzzling together efficient removal techniques is his greatest asset. He knows how to direct the crew to keep your property in its best condition, while executing the cuts.

Leif Steinert
As the primary operator of ground equipment Leif has the ability to glide over your property like he was never there. As a proficient machinist he is an expert in maneuverability. He has been with the business for its entirety and was a pillar in growing the business into what it is today.
